Thanks to my work as wedding photographer in Tuscany, I am lucky enough to be able to take photographs in the most beautiful and evocative wedding locations in Florence. I believe I am lucky, because in my city and its surroundings, there are truly fabulous wedding locations. I also believe that the role of location in wedding photography is very important, therefore I would like to present you with some of the wedding locations, that have truly captured my heart and which I had the honour to capture in picture, as settings for wedding ceremonies.
Villa Cora and its historic park in Florence
What about a weeding that overlooks the Boboli Gardens? Thanks to the nineteenth-century Villa Cora of Florence now it’s possible. In addition to accommodation, the hotel hosts luxury events and wedding receptions. You can choose from the many handsomely decorated rooms or the ancient park that offers a breathtaking view of Florence and of the Boboli Gardens. A refined splendor has been the background to the photo-shoots I have created here, both in the interior and in the exterior settings.

Palazzo Borghese: a pearl in the historic center of Florence
In via Ghibellina, a few hundred meters from Piazza della Signoria and Piazza Duomo, stands Palazzo Borghese, whose Renaissance rooms host weddings and many other events. This wedding location allows you to take a leap into the past, an elegant, luxurious but refined past, with attention to every small detail. In addition to the stunning ceremonial rooms, which can accommodate between 200 and 300 people, Palazzo Borghese also offers an internal catering service. If you want, you can rent the entire building, for your ceremony and I will immortalize every moment of your beautiful day in this splendid Renaissance setting.

Villa di Maiano: getting married in the hills of Fiesole
For movie lovers, Villa di Maiano in Fiesole is the ideal location. Here is where James Ivory filmed some scenes from the movie “A room with a view”. The fifteenth-century villa, its gorgeous rooms and the beautiful view of the Tuscan hills, not only made my photographic shots magical, but also made the weddings that took place, unforgettable and impeccable.

Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte: villa garden wedding
Italian garden or English garden? Both have been the backdrop to many wedding photo-shoots I have taken at Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte, in the Florence countryside. Already present in the Middle Ages, this villa was bought over in 1480 by Lorenzo the Magnificent and is therefore an authentic Medici palace. The villa and its rooms are of undoubted beauty, but even more breathtaking is the view on the Chianti hilltops, that is offered to the newlyweds and their guests. 900 square meters of noble floor, with equipped service areas, 20,000 square meters of glorious gardens, organization offered by Corsini Events Group: everything you need for an unforgettable wedding in Florence, and the perfect setting for a wedding photographer.

Villa Le Rondini: wedding with a view on Florence
Villa Le Rondini stands on the hills of Florence and offers a magnificent view over the city. Helped by an atmosphere of undoubted charm, this wedding location allows (wedding photographers)(me) to take truly suggestive images. In the extensive greenery that surrounds the villa you can also find a swimming pool; in addition to the ceremony rooms, there are wonderful rooms in which to stay. It is also a hotel with restaurant: in this wedding location there is nothing missing to crown your most beautiful day.

Castello di Vincigliata: a fairytale wedding in Florence
After many beautiful villas, I could not fail to mention the Castle of Vincigliata in Fiesole. Its troubled history begins as far back as the first century and over the centuries it has been home to the most important Florentine families. Almost destroyed by time, in 1840 a young English lord, John Temple Leader, fascinated by its ruins, decided to buy it. Now the Castle is a wonderful location for events that I am always happy to visit. So unique and particular, the Castle of Vincigliata knows how to make, the weddings that take place there, unique and particular all of which I capture with my trusty camera.

Villa Il Garofalo: a Devine Comedy wedding
Among the previous inhabitants of this Florentine villa are Dante Alighieri’s family and that of Beatrice Portinari. History and art have framed the photo-shoots and photographs I have created at Villa Il Garofalo, which rises on the hill of Fiesole. In the cloister, whose pavement and well are still the original, I have captured many happy moments, thinking of Dante and Beatrice who may have met here too. The location lends itself to different types of ceremony, offering both the elegant rooms of the villa and a small woodland for refreshments near the cloister.

Villa Castelletti: a beautiful countryside weddin
Near Florence, within a beautiful park, protected by the Authority for Historical Heritage is Villa Castelletti. Here I have immortalized suggestive wedding banquets, and also American style civil ceremonies, thanks to the agreement stipulated between the villa and the Municipality of Signa. In addition to the charm of the location, everything is enriched by the professional attitude of the managers and their banqueting service. Here every detail of my photographs, besides the spouses and their guests, is always impeccable.

Villa Gamberaia: a ceremony amongst flowers
Edith Wharton and many other intellectuals and experts wrote about the Italian gardens of Villa Gamberaia. I’ve had the pleasure to capture several photo-shoots within this beautiful, classic country villa and I perfectly understand why this location (is perfect for a wedding photographers as it) is mentioned in the best publications dedicated to landscape architecture. The main rooms of the villa are dedicated to the organization of events, such as weddings. You can also rent the entire building, staying in the villa’s apartments, which accommodates up to 18 people. In this charming environment there is no lack of space: in fact, in the park there are other apartments to rent and two swimming pools.
