My name is Michele Monasta and I am a professional photographer based in Florence, Tuscany. I’m 50 years old, I like cooking, the contact with the raw material, the smells, the flavors, the colors, the intersection of glances, the lights and shadows, the baroque art of Caravaggio, the photographs of Vincent Peters, Elliott Erwitt, Lindbergh, Avedon, Greg Williams, the music of Tom Waits…
I am married to a fantastic woman and I have two children, Arturo and Matilde whom I love madly. I love the emotional expression of life in all its forms, faces, reactions, charm and amazement and this strongly determines the general style of the photos I take in the various situations in which I find myself…
Photographer in Florence (Tuscany) for over 30 years
Specialized for more than 25 years in stage photography (theater and cinema), since 2019 I have been the official photographer of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Opera House of Florence and I find my highest expression in the Editorial Reportage of Exclusive Events such as the wedding, since the wedding day is a concentration of emotions that occur “here and now” as in the theater; And as long as I get excited with every click, I will continue to do it. People come to me sure that they have an emotional and “true” story, made with discretion and that lasts forever.
